Sharmistha Das is an associate in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office and a member the firm’s Environment & Natural Resources and Government Contracts groups. She also participates in the firm’s Privacy & Cybersecurity and Administrative & Regulatory Law groups. Sharmi’s practice focuses on providing affirmative and defensive claims counseling to clients in connection with substantial and technically complex government contracts to support clients’ efforts to mitigate financial exposure and the risk of termination. In addition, she represents government contractors in bid protests and False Claims Act (FCA) litigations and assists clients in protecting sensitive information that is requested by third parties under FOIA. Her Environment & Natural Resources practice includes assisting clients in responding to citations issued by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), including supporting clients’ mediation, litigation, and negotiation efforts.
